What putting the BSO's venues and evenings in front of Boston planners and visitors is worth

People search about 96,500 times a month for concerts and things to do in Boston and the Berkshires, and the BSO gets about 0.3% of those clicks. AI leaves it out of the gala and holiday-party answers we tracked, and nearly all the wedding ones, though Symphony Hall rents rooms for up to 1,050 guests and Tanglewood hosts weddings. Pick a tier, then replace our placeholder rates with the BSO's own.

What waiting costs

Holiday Pops opens on Dec 3 with 32 performances at Symphony Hall, and Google's AI tells buyers tickets start "around $101 to $152+"; the BSO's own seat map has Dec 3 seats from $67, with fees. Planners asking for a holiday-party venue get Fenway, the ICA and the Boston Public Library, and Google's AI plan for the Oct 16–18 weekend skipped Hilary Hahn with the BSO. Each month without the plan defers about $0 of new event and ticket revenue at these rates.

Demand: Ahrefs Keywords Explorer and Site Explorer (US, 15 Oct 2026): 96,510 monthly searches across 42 Boston concert, things-to-do, Berkshires, classical and seasonal terms ("concerts near me" excluded); bso.org gets ~296 clicks a month from them. Ahrefs CPCs run $0.03–0.70 across the 42 terms; the model uses $0.60 for visitor terms and a $5 placeholder for venue terms until Keyword Planner. Visitor visits: Tier 2 adds 1,108 a month by moving the category terms bso.org ranks 4–20 for (mostly /events) to #3 (click-through curve with a 0.6 AI Overview haircut); Tier 3 adds 2,000 from an evening hub, the lists AI reads and AI answers. AI visibility: Peec, ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, 146 prompts, 15 Oct 2026 (day one): 22% on group, corporate and private-event prompts, 0% on 10 of them. Venue facts: bso.org rental pages and FY24 Schedule of Charges, opened 15 Oct 2026. Advertising: Google Ads Transparency Center and Meta Ad Library, 15 Oct 2026.
Formula: visitor ad clicks = ads × 70% ÷ $0.60 (capped at 15% of the 96,510 searches); venue ad clicks = ads × 30% ÷ $5. Events a month = (venue ad clicks × inquiry rate + venue inquiries from pages & AI) × booking rate; ticket orders a month = (visitor ad clicks + visitor visits from pages & AI) × click-to-order. Revenue a year = (events × average event + orders × average order) × 12. Revenue per $1 counts only ad-driven revenue. Revenue is gross rental and ticket revenue, before costs and catering. Every rate and price is a placeholder until the BSO shares its own; ROAST's fees aren't included. Donors and subscriptions aren't sized.
